Curro Claret

Barcelona, Spain

Curro Claret studied industrial design at Elisava in Barcelona and Central Saint Martins in London. Since the late 1990s, he has established himself as a designer of objects, products, furniture, happenings, strategies, and interior design for diverse companies, foundations, institutions, and galleries. Simultaneously, he teaches and leads workshops at different universities and organizations both nationally and internationally. He is interested in participating in projects that seek to discuss (explore) our way of life by generating more desirable balances with the environment through experiences. Both the participants (often groups in vulnerable situations) and the resources involved require a critical approach to their nature and possibilities. He has received numerous distinctions and awards, including the City of Barcelona Award in the design category and the FAD Medal.
